Welcome to AP Chemistry at Heritage High School

I just wanted to write a post welcoming all new students to the AP Chemistry class at Heritage High School for the 2009/2010 school year. You should have received a letter from me, a copy of the class syllabus, optional summer work packet, and a copy of the course policies and procedures before you left school for the summer. If you did not receive these materials, copies will be left in the counceling department over the summer. You can pick them up there. Please check into this blog periodically through the summer to check for any information pertaning to the course. I look forward to working with you in the fall.

  1. A.P. Chemistry is a difficult class to say the least but it is manageable if you keep up with the homework and reading assigments. its very tempting to not keep up especially during the second semster when he stops checking homework for completion but it will show in your quiz and tests grades. the early morning sessions help too.

  2. Look over the summer packet to be sure you refresh your memory from regular Chemistry because we spent maybe two days reveiwing on all the stuff. Be sure you keep up with the homework because its very easy to fall behind and you will pay for it come test time. When it comes for the AP test look over tests from the year and take the practice problems Mr. Brueckner gives you seriously. Focus on the equations section especially. Like Mike said morning sessions really help. Evan Cordrey
